Dürr in India

Dürr got its first order way back in 1958 when the automobile industry in India first entered its growth phase. Subsequently, in 1997, Dürr India was founded and its Registered Office opened in Chennai. Dürr has made a significant contribution towards building up the automobile industry in India, a nation that is proud to be seen today as a global leader.

It has always been Dürr's objective to provide best-in-class technologies and products to local markets. Some of the famous brands served are Tata, Mahindra, Hyundai, and Ford. In the Year 2000, Schenck Rotec, a global supplier of Balancing and Diagnostic Products with its subsidiary Schenck Rotec India Ltd at Noida, became part of the Dürr Group.

The workforce in the year 2003 totaled 40; by 2009 this had expanded to more than 160. This growth has been nurtured through excellence in business partnerships, providing extended service to customers and adding new product lines. A Branch Office (Service Centre) was also opened in Pune in 2008 to enable us to serve and work more closely with our customers.

Recently this year, we reached another major milestone - we acquired our first order for Environmental and Energy Systems by venturing into the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Apart from mainstream automotive producers, we also cater to the needs of other manufacturers such as those of trucks, tractors and construction equipment.

Overall Dürr India has the competence in engineering, process innovation and project management that it needs to provide customers with real "turnkey solutions".
